Buying property, whether a single family, a condo, or a large multi-unit property, all transactions take the same basic shape. Here are the main stages:
- Find and tour a property
- Inquire and perform any necessary due diligence to learn about the property
- Make an offer with the help of your realtor (Alisa Levin) and submit that to the listing agent or seller directly
- Once offer is negotiated and accepted - we are "under contract!
- Provide a copy of the contract to your lender and submit all necessary documents to the broker/loan processor
- Hire an inspector to review the property and provide information as to its condition - We've got some amazing ones on speed dial!
- Hire a real estate lawyer - we can make amazing recommendations!
- Once contract and inspection matters negotiated then focus on loan
- Prepare for closing
- Attend walk-through inspection
- Attend closing at title company and BAM - you've just bought something major!
